The route 358 began before 2002. The route provided a daily service between Crystal Palace and Orpington Station (Via Anerley, Penge, Clock House, Beckenham, Elmers End, Eden Park, South Eden Park Road, Shortlands, Bromley, Bromley Common, Locks Bottom, Farnborough and Green Street Green). The route has always been operated by Metrobus of Orpington as far as I know. The current PVR was (18.05.02) Monday to Friday 15SLF, Saturday 14SLF and Sunday 8SLF. On the 30th August 2003 Metrobus contained the contract for route 358 and many other routes were gained on this date. By the 6th December 2003 the route was diverted towards Orpington Station via Homefield Rise, Gravel Pit Way and Spur Road. As Metrobus contained the contract in August 2003 they bought some brand buses for the route Scania Omnicity’s. On the 25th September 2004 there were a few PVR changes, Monday to Saturday 15OC, Sunday 8OC. The average journey time is between 47 and 76 minutes. The frequency Monday to Saturday is every 12 minutes, Sunday and evenings every 20 minutes.
