History:
The route 349 began on the 25th May 1991 and provided a daily service between West Brompton and Streatham garage (Mon-Sat) and to Crystal Palace on Sundays (via Chelsea, Battersea, Clapham Junction, Tooting Bec, and Streatham). The route was operated at Streatham Garage (AK) by Metrobus type (M). The current PVR was Monday to Friday 19M, Saturday 15M and Sunday 12M. On the 14th March 1992 the allocation was transferred to Brixton Garage (BN) and the Sunday section which ran from Streatham to Crystal Palace was withdrawn and replaced by the 249. The current route was Streatham (Telford Avenue) to West Brompton, the route was now only Monday to Saturday. The current PVR was Monday to Friday 19T and Saturday 16T. On the 8th February 1993 the 349 was withdrawn and replaced by the 319 which was introduced on this day.
