Former London Bus Route 264 (1981-1987) - Putney Bridge Station - Putney High Street - Upper Richmond Road - Dover House Road - Roehampton, Danebury Avenue.

History:

The route began on the 25th April 1981 and provided a Monday to Saturday service between Putney Bridge Station and Roehampton. The route was operated at Putney garage by DMS type buses. The current PVR was Monday to Friday 6DMS and Saturday 4DMS. By the 4th September 1982 a Sunday service was introduced the current PVR was Monday to Friday 6DMS, Saturday 6DMS and Sunday 4DMS. By the end of January 1983 the DMS type was withdrawn and replaced by Metrobuses; the PVR was increased on Saturdays. The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 6M and Sunday 4M. On the 3rd August 1985 the route was extended Monday to Saturday from Putney Bridge Station to South Kensington Stn. The current route was Roehampton Putney Bridge Station (Suns), or South Kensington Stn (Mon-Sat). The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 12M and Sunday 3M. A couple of years later on the 7th February 1987 the route was withdrawn and replaced by the 74.
