& EL2 History:
The route 369 began on the 20th March 1993 and the route was introduced because this new route replaced the B1. The route provided a service between Ilford and Thames View Estate via Ilford Lane, Barking, River Rd and Bastable Avenue. The route was operated by East London at their Barking Garage BK by DA and DW type buses. The current PVR was Monday to Friday 7DA, Saturday 8DA and Sunday 4DW. On the 17th September 1995 the DW type on Sundays was replaced by DRL’s. The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 8DA and Sunday 4DRL. On the 19th July 1997 Capital Citybus won the contract for the 369 for 5 years. They operated the route at their Dagenham Garage DM. The route was also converted to double deck. The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 8DD and Sunday 3DD. On the 20th July 2002 Stagecoach East London won the contract for the 369 and the route was converted to Low Floor Double Deck operation at Barking Garage BK. The current PVR was Monday to Friday 14TA, Saturday 12TA and Sunday 8TA. On the 1st May 2004 The Route now 24 hour was changed as the "N" prefix dropped on night route. The current PVR is Monday to Friday 13TA, Saturday 12TA and Sunday 8TA. During July 2006 Stagecoach London sold off the company to an Australian Bank and they now operate the route under the name of East London. The average journey time is between 20 and 43 minutes. The frequency Monday to Saturday was every 8 minutes, Sunday and evenings run every 12 minutes.
