The route T31 began on the 11th May 2000 and provided a daily service between New Addington and Addington Village via Vulcan Way, King Henrys Drive, Homestead Way, Overbury Crescent, Parkway, King Henrys Drive, Goldcrest Way, Headley Drive, Merrow Way, Fieldway and Lodge Lane. The route was operated by First Centrewest from their Orpington Garage (Y). The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 10DML and Sunday 6DML. By the 20th May 2000 the route was extended from Addington Village to Forestdale.
On the 22nd May 2004 the PVR was revised, Monday to Friday 11DML, Saturday 9DML and Sunday 4DML. On the 22nd July 2006 the PVR had another slight change, Monday to Friday 10DML, Saturday 8DML and Sunday 4DML.
On the 12th May 2007 Arriva London South won the contract from First Centrewest. Arriva provided some brand new enviro 200’s for the route. The T31 is now operated at South Croydon Garage TC. The current PVR is Monday to Saturday 8ENL and Sunday 4ENL. The average frequency is every 7 to 8 minutes Monday to Saturday, Sunday and evenings run every 15 minutes. The average journey time is between 17 and 15 minutes.
