History: The route 164A began before 1950, and provided a service between Morden Station and Tattenham Corner (Via Sutton). The route was operated from Sutton Garage (A) by D type buses. The Current PVR was Monday to Friday 9D, Saturday 12D and Sunday D ex 164. On the 19th May 1954 the route was converted to RT type buses. The current PVR was Monday to Friday 9RT, Saturday 12RT and Sunday RT ex
164. There were no until October 1976 as the Saturday and Sunday RT type buses were withdrawn and replaced by RM’s. On the 16th January 1977 the Monday to Friday allocation was also RM type now. On the 31st March 1979 the route was withdrawn and replaced by
route 80A.
