Former London Bus Route 197A (1986-1991) - West Croydon - Wellesley Road - Park Lane - South Croydon - Purley - Kenley - Whyteleafe - Caterham Valley.

History:
The route 197A began on the 9th August 1986 and provided a Monday to Saturday service between West Croydon and Caterham Valley. The route was operated by London and Country at Chelsham Garage. The route was operated by LR type buses. On the 27th June 1987 the Monday to Saturday evening service was withdrawn and replaced by 197B. On the 28th October 1989 London and Country lost the contract to South London. The current PVR was Monday to Friday 4DD and Saturday 3DD. On the 31st August 1991 the route was withdrawn.
