Click Here History: The route 315 began on the 29th April 1995 and provided a Monday to Saturday service between Balham Station and West Norwood Station via Bedford Hill, Streatham and Canterbury Grove. The route was operated by London Links at their WL garage. The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 3midi. On the 19th July 1997 the operation was transferred to London and Country at their Croydon Garage (CR). On the 30th October 1999 the Arriva London South won the contract for the 315 and they operated the route from Beddington Farm Garage (CN). The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 3MRL. On the 24th April 2000 the operation was transferred to Arriva at Norwood Garage (N) and they changed the type to Darts. On the 16th December 2000 the 315 was sub-contracted to Connex Bus at their Beddington Garage (BC). The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 4DA. On the 28th April 2001 Connex Bus won the full contract for the 315.
On the 29th September 2001 a Sunday operation was introduced the current PVR was Monday to Saturday 4DA and Sunday 2DA. On the 26th February 2004 Travel London which is part of the National Express Group took over all of Connex’s routes and their Garages. On the 30th April 2005 Travel London decided to transfer the route to Battersea Garage (QB) and they changed the type to Dennis Plaxton (DP) type. The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 4DP and Sunday 2DP. On the 29th April 2006 Travel London lost the contract to London General and they operate the route from their Stockwell Garage and they bought some brand new LDP type buses. The current PVR is Monday to Sunday 4LDP. The average journey time is between 18 and 33 minutes. The frequency Monday to Saturday is every 20 minutes, Sunday and evenings is every 30 minutes.
