Click Here History: The route 521 began on the 18th July 1992 and provided a peak hour service between Waterloo Station and London Bridge Station via Aldwych, St Pauls and Cannon Street. The route was operated at Waterloo Garage (RA) and was operated by LS type buses. The current PVR was Monday to Friday (Peaks) 9LS and 1LS of the
507. On the 1st May 1994 there was a slight change to the PVR, Monday to Friday (peaks), 9GLS + 4GLS/
501 and 1GLS/
507.
On the 19th June 1995 the 521 didn’t take any buses of any other routes now with a PVR of 10GLS. By the 24th January 1998 the PVR was decreased to 9GLS and on the 19th August 2000 was increased to 12GLS. The latest major change to the 521 is that is was now a Monday to Friday (Ex Eves) route instead of just peaks. London General brought some brand new bendy buses to use on routes
507 and 521 which are still in operation today. The current PVR is Monday to Friday 19MAL. The average frequency is every 4 minutes inn peak hour and every 10 in the daytime. The average journey time is between 20-30 minutes.
