Click Here History: The route 314 began on the 14th July 1990 and provided a Monday to Saturday service between Eltham Station and New Addington (Salcot Crescent) via New Eltham, Elmstead Woods, Sundridge Park, Bromley, Bourne Vale, Hayes, Addington Village and Headley Drive. The route was operated at Bromley Garage (TB) by Selkent. The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 7DT/MRL. On the 25th May 1991 the DT type buses were withdrawn and replaced by a full time MRL type. The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 7MRL. On the 14th February 1992 an MA type was introduced on route 314 as well as the MRL type still running. On the 24th April 1993 the PVR was increased, Monday to Friday 8MRL/MA and Saturday 7MRL/MA. On the 12th March 1994 there was a slight PVR change, Monday to Friday 8MA/MRL + 1MA/
336 and Saturday 7MA/MRL + 1MA/
336. On the 2nd July 1994 a Sunday service was introduced. The current PVR was Monday to Saturday the
336 allocation was changed to MRL type instead of MA type and Sunday 2MRL.On the 21st October 1995 the Sunday PVR was increased to 3MRL.
On the 30th November 1996 the allocation bus from the
336 was withdrawn. The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 8MRL and Sunday 3MRL. By the 30th August 1997 Stagecoach Selkent managed to retain the contract for the 314 and they changed the MRL type to SLD type buses which were much newer. The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 8SLD and Sunday 5SLD. On the 29th August 1998 the Sunday PVR was increased to 6SLD. On the 20th May 2000 the Sunday PVR was increased again to 7SLD. On the 31st August 2002 Stagecoach Selkent managed to retain the contract for the 314. The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 11SLD and Sunday 8SLD. A few months later the 314 was converted to DM type buses. In July 2006 Stagecoach London Sold off the company and is now under the contract of Selkent. The current PVR is Monday to Saturday 11DM and Sunday 8DM. The average journey time is between 52 and 80 minutes. The frequency Monday to Saturday is every 15 minutes, Sunday and evenings every 30 minutes.
