Click Here Past Timetables: Aug 2002 History: The route 204 began on the 24th February 1990 and provided a Monday to Saturday service between Edgware Station (Garage Journeys) – Burnt Oak Broadway – Sudbury Town Station via Grahame Park, Colindale, Kingsbury, Preston Road and Wembley. The route was operated from Edgware Garage by Metrobuses. The route was introduced to replace the withdrawn part of
route 226. The current PVR was Monday to Friday 6M and Saturday 7M. On the 10th November 1990 the route was extended from Burnt Oak Broadway to Edgware Station full time instead of just garage journeys. The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 7M. On the 24th February 1992 the route was converted to single deck and a Sunday operation was introduced. The current PVR was Monday to Friday 10DR, Saturday 8DR and Sunday 5DR. On the 4th December 1993 the route was transferred to operate from North Wembley Garage NW. The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 10DR and Sunday 5DR.
On the 26th April 1997 Metroline bought some brand new Dennis Darts for the 204, the Sunday operation was also diverted via Wembley Market reversed in that the buses towards Sudbury will run via Wembley Hill Road, Empire Way, Wembley Park Drive and the buses towards Edgware in the opposite direction around this loop. The current PVR was Monday to Saturday 10DL and Sunday 5DL. On the 27th April 2002 the contract was renewed with Metroline and was withdrawn via Wembley Market Sundays and also was converted gradually to low floor double deck operation. The current PVR is Monday to Saturday 14VPL and Sunday 8VPL. The average journey time is between 40 and 64 minutes. The frequency Monday to Saturday is every 10 minutes, Sunday and evenings run every 15-20 minutes.
